Federal Bureau of Investigation

National Academy Instructor; 2019 – 2023

  • National Academy Instructor for Communication Courses for Law Enforcement Executives. Instructed over 400 undergraduate and graduate students for seven sessions at the FBI National Academy (Sessions 278-279, 281-285).
  • Directed, managed, and supervised a training team providing tasking and updates, ensuring objectives were met and all training was conducted in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
  • Developed and nurtured relationships throughout the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and National Academy to develop and implement learning strategies, programs, and processes.
  • Taught personnel by utilizing various educational forums and tools, such as residence-based courses, small group facilitation, computer-based training, web-based teaching, performance skills laboratories, clinical simulation, and after-action reviews.
  • Collaborated and negotiated with adjacent organization managers on work-related changes affecting other organizations.
  • Employed in-depth training experience to identify improvements to existing training, new training techniques, approaches, and curricula, which enriched the learning experience for more than six hundred personnel annually.
  • Conducted research through books, podcasts, and publications on current leadership trends and incorporated and modified lesson materials to improve course content and delivery.

  • As the units WebTA timekeeper, managed employee profiles, added new accounting codes, entered and validated T&A data on behalf of the employee, viewed leave and premium pay requests, and reviewed employees previously certified T&A data ensuring time was entered correctly and on time.

Executive Leadership Program (ELP); 2021 - 2022

  • Co-Program Manager responsible for the development and delivery of the new Executive Leadership Program, for Senior Executive Service members in the FBI.
  • As a co-program manager, conducted an evaluation and needs assessment to identify the feasibility of tailoring specific university leadership curriculum to meet the needs of FBI executives.
  • Provided instruction and facilitated multiple training events for clients based on needs assessment.
  • Working with senior FBI leaders and external partners to develop a three-phase program for ELP, with a five-year period of performance.
  • Researched organizational needs and drafted course outlines; reviewed multiple variables, including doctrine, personnel knowledge base, student training preferences, and training deadlines.
  • Conducted market research for vendors and locations to provide executive leader training in line with priorities and strategy of the Training Division and the FBI.
  • Provided documentation to contracting team to include sole-source justification and cost analysis of vendors and locations to the Contracting Officer for review and approval.
  • Collaborated with Co-Program Manger to ensure all correspondence, documentation and communication with vendors is consistent and within FAR guidelines.

Virtual Leading People (VLP); Jul 2020 - Dec 2021

  • Created corresponding lesson plans, and all related supporting documents (e.g., grading rubrics, performance evaluations, quiz questions, reference handouts for instructor and trainee, training assignments with guidelines/aids, and surveys) to meet new requirements.
  • Responsible for curriculum transition from an in-person mandatory front-line leader course to a virtual delivery platform.
  • Managed, and selected adjunct faculty to facilitate transition to virtual delivery of VLP.
  • Completed all transitions on time and delivery continued until transfer to new team.
  • Served as co-facilitator for the VLP ensuring workshops and virtual courses were trained in accordance to client needs.
  • Program Manager responsible for tracking and selecting adjunct faculty to facilitate VLP.

Federal Bureau of Investigation

Digital Forensic Training

  • Program Manager responsible for liaison with 56 FBI Field Offices and 15 Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory Directors and staff for digital forensic examiner and computer scientist training.
  • Coordinated attorney support for core and CART Moot Court Courses and training events.
  • Provided financial support to include entering payment information in UFMS, ensuring payment was provided in a timely manner, and travel for FBI divisions and external partners.
  • Responsible for the registration, travel, graduation, and documentation for Digital Evidence training
  • program including core and advanced classes.
  • Maintained records of over 500 Forensic Examiners to ensure the proper training levels were completed prior to organizational certifications being granted

Federal Bureau of Investigation

  • Through the Background Investigation Contract Services (BICS) Unit, provided timely and thorough background investigations and reinvestigation information.
  • Conducted detailed background investigations for a variety of clients in the federal, state, and private sector providing support information regarding employment suitability.
  • Utilized a variety of sources to verify information, such as criminal records, financial records, and educational records.
  • Conducted face-to-face interviews in neighborhoods and places of employment to include private companies, government agencies, and educational institutions.
  • Crafted comprehensive and accurate written reports based on information gathered through interviews and research which were used to evaluate employee/recruit’s trustworthiness for access to classified information and placement in a sensitive position.

Diocese of Arlington

  • Engaged in peer collaboration and instruction during staff development opportunities as well as peer observation of classroom strategies and assessments.
  • Designed and developed instructional plans to fulfill guidelines and standards set by the school system.
  • Responsible for the health and welfare of over 33 students while implementing challenging instructional plans in a timely manner.

Alexandria Police Department

  • Provided for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.
  • Responsible for responding to calls for service in a highly diverse, urban setting, preparing incident and accident reports, arresting suspects, conducting preliminary criminal investigations, testifying in court, and enforcing the law.

Recruiter/Background Investigator

  • Sworn officer in the Personnel and Training Division responsible for recruitment of officer applicants and other personnel duties for a large, metropolitan department.
  • Evaluated and analyzed recruitment policies, human resource issues, and pay incentive program practices by providing executive level management on status and impact of programs on mission and operations.
  • Oversaw the application process which included direct communication with applicants, scheduling tests and interviews, participating in command level panel interviews.
